The Bureau of Health Facilities Administration-Licensing is proposing a change to He-P 805.18(a) as it pertains to the need for obtaining and reviewing criminal records checks for any volunteers AND independent contractors who have reason to enter a community.

The following is the current rule language: He-P 805.18 Personnel. (a) For all applicants for employment, except those licensed by the New Hampshire board of nursing, and for all household members 17 years of age or older, the licensee shall: (1) Obtain and review a criminal records check from the New Hampshire department of safety; (2) Review the results of the criminal records check in accordance with (b) below; and (3) Verify the qualifications of all applicants prior to employment.
A public hearing will be held as part of the state's required formal rule adoption process on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 p.m in the DHHS Brown Building Auditorium located at 129 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
